SUPERNAUT
CRAZY UNCLE MIKE’S (4TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION)
BOCA RATON FL
10/5/22
Well after breaking my fast on Wednesday, I never thought I would be starting my New Year dancing, singing, and rocking an hour later to a Great new band SUPERNAUT at their first show ever. There’s no live show quite like a bands first show.Playing like they weren’t just bursting onto the scene, they played with a level of urgency and controlled chaos.
There was a more immediate, intimate connection between the musicians, something that you never see at shows let alone at a bands first one.
This can be attributed to talent in this band Jimi Robinette on Vocals, Greg Smolla on Guitar, Hernando (CHATO)Vazquez on Guitar, Dean Robaina on Bass and Vocals, and Phil Tucciarone on Drums.
Their sound is pure (kick you know what) rock. Playing music from THE Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Guns N Roses, AudioSlave, old school Aerosmith just to name a few. The show was filled with joy and dancing, the band played supercharged and intense, and created something crass and poetic, insatiable and wise and were impressive all night long from beginning to end.
Tonight was a fantastic show filled with energy and an incredible display of musicianship and stage performance from the band that was equal parts mind blowing as it was fun. Everywhere I looked fans were dancing, singing, letting loose and having fun.
Not sure when SUPERNAUT will grace the stage and audience again. They are clearly a band of the people and it will always remain that way and if tonight’s show was any indication of what is ahead we can only hope they don’t stop anytime soon.
